About

Creativity, Delivery, Marketing, Profit

The Digital Comic is more than webcomics. The Digital Comic goes beyond the medium. The Digital Comic most of all, is the creative in all of us – the hardworking artist, the struggling writer, the patient colorist, and the letterer whose craft is not printed in presses, but electronically freed across the globe. The Digital Comic is an innovator of the digital medium, a storytelling pioneer of the information age.

We Recognize that the Internet and mobile devices provide entirely new ways of delivering comics, creating them, marketing them, and yes…profiting from them. These modern ways don’t abandon the finest elements of our print heritage, but push on towards powerful possibilities.

We Envision a Supportive Network for digital comics and their creators. TDC is a place for newcomers and old hands to share, inspire and learn from one another. TDC is a space to voice our opinions in a forum or blog, even post an article or two. TDC is a place to form productive partnerships, to connect and learn from colleagues with talents we ourselves may not possess.

Sharing Knowledge allows us All to Succeed. Communicating with differently skilled but like minded individuals expands our capabilities as the best methods and advice rise to the surface. Our mission is to:

  • Build you a Better Website.

  • Refine your Talent.
  • Improve your Readership.
  • Teach you to Market on the web.
  • Gain better Advertising.
  • Increase your Monetization.
  • Provide proven, useful Business Advice.

The Digital Comic Community is a network of creators and consumers from many countries, backgrounds and talents. We are print and digital comic artists, extending our reach and influence to the web and portable devices. All of us can craft anything imaginable for the world to see. Our community itself sorts, shapes and forms the next set of delivery standards and revenue models for digital comics.

We created TheDigitalComic.Com, a web community specially designed for digital comic creators, to be a meeting place, university, library, and marketplace for all of us to use. It combines interactive forums, blogs, galleries, and freelance boards with expert advice, tutorials, and tips from both industry professionals and fellow creators. Show your work, ask questions, post concerns and find answers.
